    Julia Watson directs the comparative literature programin the Division of Comparative Studies at the Ohio State University. She has co-edited two book with Sidonie Smith, De/Colonizing the Subject: The Politics of Gender in Womens Autobiography (1992), and Getting a Life: Everyday uses of Autobiography (1996). She is working on a study of womens autoethnographic writing in African and American contexts.
