The third and final part shifts the focus to Bella, showing her in her new avatar as a vampire, and their struggle to save the new character from the group of vampires known as the Volturi. Breaking Dawn is full of unexpected twists and turns. From what seemed to be an already impossible romance in the first series, Breaking Dawn deludes the reader further about the chances of a happy ending through the tumultuous and devastating consequences in the lives of Bella and Edward. Will they live happily ever after or suffer a cruel fate? Needless to say, the much anticipated book sold 6 million copies by 2008. In the first 24 hours after the book was released, it sold over 1.3 million copies in the US itself. The novel received the British Book Award for Children’s Book of the Year. The book, like the others in the series, has been adapted into a movie in two parts. While the first part was released on November 18, 2011, the second part was released on November 16, 2012.
