Availability: Out Of Stock

Published in 2001, Area 7 is the author Matthew Reilly’s fourth book. The book’s protagonist Captain Shane Schofield, who is introduced in the Ice Station, is on another action-filled mission, this time involving the most powerful man in the world, the President of the United States. The story takes place in the world’s most secret place, an Air Force installation base called Area 7, hidden deep in the deserts of Utah. The President, attacked by hostile forces needs to be protected and kept alive. And, this is exactly what Schofield, who is called ‘Scarecrow’, can provide. Filled with twists and turns, it is the novel’s fast-paced plot that has been acclaimed. A complex storyline needs exactly what Reilly has to offer, and that is speed. It is the sequel to Ice Station, but the book can be read as a stand-alone novel by itself. Area 7 is meant for any thriller-buff. Even though the action sequences sometimes appear to be beyond the realms of reality, Area 7 is without doubt a highly entertaining novel. Reilly’s writing style is precise, with short paragraphs and shorter sentences, that keep the readers hooked to  every word.
